Finding Device Manager Name and Plug'n'Play (PnP) ID


1. With your mouse Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Manage":




2. When "Computer Management" window opens select "Device Manager" in the left pane:




3. In the right pane, expand the "Sound, video and game controllers" category by performing a left-mouse-click on the "+" sign. You will see a group of devices listed by their "Device Manager Names". You should now be able to match one of these devices with one of the device names listed on our support page.

Once you have found the correct TV Tuner device, you can check it's PnP ID by performing a right-mouse-click on the device name and selecting "Properties" from the pop-up menu:




4. When the "Properties" window pops up select the "Details" tab on the top. The default property showing is a "Device Instance Id" which is a PnP ID plus some extra stuff added after the "&" sign:
